Media Center

Welcome to the Enka Middle School Media Center!

We are so excited you are here! The media center has something for everyone. Ms. Landgrover and Ms. Brookshire enjoy helping students find a good book, helping research for projects, providing technical help, and support students in making.

  Samantha Landgrover, Media Coordinator

Amanda Brookshire, Media Assistant

  • Students may check out 2 books and keep them for 3 weeks. If they need additional time, they may renew the books. We do not charge late fees, however, you are responsible for returning your book(s) in good condition. If you completely neglect to turn in your book(s), you will not be allowed to check out more books until the late book(s) is returned.

  • Damaged or lost books are assessed a fee based up the purchase amount of the book and the extent of the damage.  Remember you are responsible for keeping books in great condition while checked out to you.  Keep them away from food, liquids, pets and younger siblings.

  • A wide variety of magazines is available for recreational reading in the media center.

  • We have computers for student use with access to the Internet, Microsoft Office, movie making programs such as iMovie and Movie Maker and other programs.

  • Two sets of iPads are available to access and explore a variety of county-approved applications.

  • We have a "maker space" in the media center.  In our maker space, students can explore circuits, use legos, and play thought provoking games.
