Molly Pitman, School Social Worker

Mrs. Molly Pitman

Molly Pitman

I am in my sixth year as a School Social Worker in Buncombe County. Originally from Charlotte, NC, I have grown to love living in Western North Carolina and working in the Enka Community.

School Social Workers serve as the link between students' families and the school. I collaborate with parents, guardians, teachers and other school officials to ensure that students reach their academic and personal potential to be globally productive citizens in the twenty-first century. Supportive services are provided to students to motivate them to be their best when they are faced with barriers such as: absenteeism, abuse/neglect, pregnancy, addictions, poverty, homelessness, etc. Each situation is assessed and individual plans are developed with the student/family.

If you feel that your child has a particular concern or need regarding needed resources, attendance, or any other concern, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can reach me at the school office or by cell phone at (828) 777-1982 (call or text).
