Syllabus 2020-2021

CLASS OBJECTIVES:
Practice reading, writing and public speaking to prepare you for your future life post graduation. Evaluate books and stories and news that discusses public/personal concern. Understand, reflect and react to text and personal experiences and develop critical thinking skills. Evaluate ways to communicate by reading, writing, listening, speaking and viewing a variety of materials and resources.

CLASSROOM RULES: 
Treat everyone with kindness and respect. Come to class on time and always be prepared. Be responsible for your work and stay on task. Take care of our materials and resources and use them wisely. Follow instructions the first time.

GRADES:
Tests (30%),Classwork assignments (40%), Projects (30%)

CONSEQUENCES FOR NOT MEETING EXPECTATIONS:
Email or phone contacts with students, parents, and if no action is taken, then discussion with administration personnel.

Computer, charger, headphones or earbuds with a microphone, book bag, marbled composition notebook with a sewn edge, colored pencils
