Hello, I thought it would be important to let all of you know a bit about my self so that you can better understand where I am coming from as an educator. Candler North Carolina was my home growing up where I attended Candler elementary, Enka Middle, and Enka High. This area has always been home to me and I am very happy to be back in this area and teaching at Enka. College took me to UNC Chapel Hill where I majored in biology and became an avid Carolina Basketball fan. After Graduation I was accepted at Western Carolina where I graduated with my masters degree in middle school education. I have certifications to teach Project Lead the Way curriculum. PLTW is a hands on science and engineering curriculum that helps prepare students for the modern technological world. I now teach in the CTE department here at Enka middle. I have also been involved in playing and coaching soccer all of my life and I am currently the men's soccer coach here at Enka . My hobbies include soccer, camping, basketball, baseball, and reading.
