Hello Jet Community! My name is Sean Dare and I am very pleased to be a part of the Enka team! Science has always been my favorite subject and I thoroughly enjoy sharing that love of science and investigation with my students. I also enjoy being a part of the preparation involved in making the jump to high school. At Shenandoah University, where I obtained a degree in biology, I studied biochemistry and field ecology as well as other avenues of science. My original plan did not involve teaching but when the opportunity arose while my wife finished law school, I began teaching and haven't looked back. Teaching is about the interactions and connections with students. Those reasons are why I CHOOSE to teach everyday! I really appreciate the opportunity to be a part of your children's lives and I can honestly say I wouldn't want to do anything else. I hope that your year goes well!

Virtual Expectations:
1. Check Google Classroom every single day. Read announcements (on the Stream), check the Assignments tab, watch all videos - even if you think you already know all the info.

2. Check your school gmail account twice a day, first thing in the morning, and last thing before you log off for the day.

3. Ask SPECIFIC questions if you don’t understand, then CHECK for a teacher reply email and/or video! “I don’t understand” or “I need help” are too broad of questions to know how to help - be as specific as possible! Taking screenshots is also helpful!

4. GO BACK AND CATCH UP when you miss a day! Go to Google Classroom, look at EVERYTHING posted for that day, and complete the work as soon as possible.
