Course Description & Class Objectives:
In Language Arts class this year, we will practice developing skills as critical thinkers, readers, writers, speakers, and listeners. Through a variety of literary genres (fiction, nonfiction, drama, and poetry), we will analyze, evaluate, and interpret text. We will also routinely engage in writing for a variety of purposes. In addition, ongoing vocabulary instruction will focus on Greek and Latin roots, prefixes, suffixes, and context clues.
