Grading:
Grades will be updated regularly and can be accessed by the student and the parent on
Powerschool at any time. (See office for information on how to access Powerschool.) Grades
are calculated the same way throughout the 8th grade math courses. Scores are determined by

Attendance: High school attendance policies apply for this class. To receive credit for this course, students MUST have 10 or fewer absences.
Late Work/Make Up Work
When students are absent they are responsible for finding out what they have missed and turning in any missing work. Students have as many days as they were absent to turn in missing assignments. Students are responsible to obtain missed class notes from a trusted peer and are responsible for the material that was covered in their absence. I am available before or after school to assist students with make-up work.
Homework/Classwork assignments will be taken up to one week late and will receive half credit.
