Last week our 2nd - 4th grade students were treated to a Percussion Concert. The musicians brought a variety of percussion instruments from around the world. Instruments included a Gong, Xylophone, Vibraphone, Bass Drum, different shakers and special effects instruments, among many others. The entire stage area was filled with instruments. Audience participation, which was a big hit with the students. Mrs. Wilson, our music teacher, prepared students ahead of the concert and is currently facilitating follow up lessons on classroom percussion instruments and the science of sound. Be sure to ask your children what they have been doing in music class this week!
